The Association of British Theatre Technicians is a charity that campaigns on behalf of the theatre industry to ensure legislation is appropriate to the industry's needs, and that regulations are suitably drafted and enforced. The Association produces codes of practise that are the industry standard and has a set of training courses that lead the way in technical provision. It holds an Annual Theatre Show and a four-yearly conference exploring architecture and engineering in theatres. We have a number of highly influential committees, including Safety, Training, Theatre Planning, Historical Research and the Production Managers Forum.
